ROTARY TREE OF JOY PROJECT

The Rotary “Tree of Joy” project is an official project of District 9320. The Rotary Club of De Aar has been running this project for the past 8 years for the benefit of the elderly at Sonder Sorge Home. A decorated Christmas tree is displayed every year at the De Aar Pharmacy, with a gift tag for each of the elderly at Sonder Sorge. The public is then invited to buy gifts for them. It is wrapped by the staff of the pharmacy and the tag is put onto the gift. During December “Father Christmas” delivers the gifts to Sonder Sorge.

In the past this project was well supported by the public and Rotary is sure the same will happen this year.
